SOURCE: 2006 nissan sentra trunk doorrreplacement

all you have to do is inspect the old trunk door how it is attached to the hinges.

be careful on the tension bars that are lifting the trunk. once you released them, the trunk would just fall down.

there are two of these tension bars, they are like springs to help you lift the trunk and they are very tricky to remove and install
after you have done that then it just a matter of removing 2 bolts on each side of the hinge and remove the trunk.

if you have electrical accessories attached to the trunk such as solenoids or trunk cables, remove them first.

then do the reverse on installation.

you may want somebody helping you hold to the trunk before you remove the bolts. they are heavy.

tnx 4 using fixya,

SOURCE: 1997 Nissan Sentra, weird humming/buzzing sounds

can you hear this through the stereo?  If so you may have a problem created somewhere in your ignition , where the stereo is picking up a fluctuating signal.

SOURCE: changing the serpentine belt on an '02 nissan sentra

usually with a serpentine belt the trick is the tensioner. You need to be able to move it to release and replace the belt. the only other thing is the routing of the belt. several special tools are sold to move the tensioner. some are long bars with different types of attachments and some a ratcheting bars with the same attachments. Sometimes you can do it with a standard retchet but not always. Wish i could be of more help maybe you have a harbor freight in your area and they sell an inexpensive one you can use. good luck

2006 Nissan Sentra. Belts squeaks and stop seeking when you step on brakes.

If I understand this, your fan and other belts driving components in the engine bay stop squeaking when stepping on the brake? Your belts may need some adjustment to tighten. But it may be a vacuum hose leaking around the power brake chamber, or it is leaking, and sounds like the squeeking you describe. I would temporarily confirm the belt squeak by using a "Belt dressing spray" from your auto parts store, to see if it really is the belt or a possible vacuum leak. My belts squeak sometimes after the first start of the day in cold weather since the alternator is working very hard to recharge the battery after the start. It will be quieter when the engine is slowed down as in your braking scenario.

My 2006 Nissan Sentra after it is driven and gets warm it is difficult to start after you stop and it sits, it drags before turning over.

Try opening the cover cap of fuel tank while restating the engine after you stop.. Fuel filter needs cleaning and air filter too.

2006 nissan sentra timing chain does it need changing at a certain time or mileage. thanks

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the sight.A timing chain can last 100,000 miles or more. Some can last the life of the vehicle. Here is the thing though. If it breaks, you are not going nowhere and it can cause engine damage. If you have the money and time, plus it is over 100,000, go ahead and have it done. If not, it should be fine through 125,000 miles. Some last forever and some can break before 100,000. You really just never know. The call is yours. Thanks for choosing FixYa. If you need anything else, just let me know.

My brake lights wont work on my 2006 nissan sentra.. i replaced the bulbs and the fuse and they still wont work..

Stop lights do not work when brakes are applied on a Nizzan Sentra 2006. fuse is good. Both brake lights do not work.

If bulbs are good disconnect the stop light switch mounted on the brake pedal. Jump the connectors and see if the lights come on. If yes, bad switch. If no, check for power and ground at each wire.

1995 Nissan Sentra, The engine light and brake

You could have faulty altenator or short causing the battery to drain. The engine light usually comes on when anything electrical or sensor wise is faulty. Brake light will come on if, low brake fluid, e-brake handle is up.
