If its the factory system you can't do it what is wrong here did you disconnect the battery if so do it again & press your remote control if you lost your key and don't have another with the chip you can call a locksmith depending on his equipment he can extract the key codes then make you a key/s for about $250. otherwise it's tow it to the dealer for erase reprogramming and new keys $450-$500. + the tow OUCH!

What antitheft does my 2006 gmc sierra 1500 have

Any GM dealer would have been able to cut you a new key from your VIN number and with proof of ownership, but now you will have to spend as much money to bypass the PASSLOCK system as it will be to replace the lock cylinder and key.

Bypass security system

The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

Theft fuel enable-incorect no signal

This is due to a faulty antitheft system. Your vehicle cuts fuel when the antitheft its triggered. Maybe a bad key, ignition lock cylinder, or theft deterrent module. There is a way to bypass this system on this link.

My 1996 buick riviera will not turn over for 4 days now secerity light goes on and off

The security light is the reason that the starter is not turning over. The security light indicates a problem in the antitheft system. When this is triggered, the antitheft system turns the starter off to prevent the car from being stolen. The hard part is finding out which part is causing the antitheft to fail. Go to this link for info on how this system works along with some tricks to try, and ways to bypass this system entirely.

How to sTart if lost key?

Impossible to hotwire unless antitheft system is bypassed. The key holds a transponder in it that is a crucial part of the antitheft system. Without the key or bypassing the antitheft, the vehicle will not run.

My security light is on and my radio gets locked sometimes while I'm driving. Does anyone one know why this happens?

yes, the anti theft system runs thru the radio. Either the radio is going bad and causing the antitheft to kick in, or the antitheft is bad and faulting the radio. I just went thru this in my girlfriends 01. Ended up installing after market radio and bypassing the security system. I bypassed thee antitheft security first, and the car worked just fine, but I didn't get any radio till I installed a new radio. Here Is a link to help with the antitheft http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Lost keys to ford ranger and need to bypass the antitheft system.I have a xtra ignition key but it does not have the chip to start the truck.

Hi,

I am not allowed to provide instructions to bypass an antitheft system, I am sorry.

But I can tell you that it ist not simple to be done,I think it´s even impossible to override the system of your car. The reason is that the immobilizer is included in the engine control module, so there is no way to bypass the system.

The easiest -and cheapest- way is to order a new key or tow the car to the next Ford Branch to program the existing key.
