2006 Chevy Equinox carrier bearing

Where can I find a carrier bearing for my 2oo6 chevy equinox I called over 60 places and they all say they are on backorder. I also tried the part from pontiac view , which i am told is the same but it too is on backorder. Help !!!!! we're walkin.

I have the same problem and the dealer told me it would be months. He also said it would be ok to take the rear driveshaft off and drive the vehicle until the parts come in.

The bearings are back in stock (just got one). Also FYI the Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Vue are the same chassis.

I think its worn out or low lubricant Carrier Assembly- Rear Differential 500Ml. 16.9 Oz. (rear drive module) Axle Lubricant (GM PN U.S. 89021677. Its a computer controlled rear diff so I say maintenance.

Carrier bearing
There are only two bolts that hold the carriier bearing to the crossmemmber under the truck. You do, however, have to remove the drive shaft so that you can get the carrier bearing off of it. It is pressed onto the driveshaft.
