SOURCE: 2002 volvo /v40 will no start

Check all fuses. Check the fuel injector fuse. Make sure the fuse and fuse holder are clean. Then pull the connector from the mass air flow sensor. If it is bad it will prevent the car from starting. The car may run rough without it but at least it will start. Let me know.

I just did a head gasket replacement went well perfect in fact some hassle but not bad. But when I tried to start it it won't start? Fuel pumps seems to working I can hear it when I use key just before...

I think this is the right order for your car: Plug order If you really do already have them in the right order, have you verified that you actually have spark? I've only done a couple head gasket jobs on other makes of cars and there always seems to be some electrical connector(s) that I missed when reassembling.

How do you properly reinstall the distributor on an 1992 camaro rs 305 and what is the firing order?

you will need to put the number one cylinder at top dead center. (front driver side cylinder) you can do this by removing the number one spark plug and place your finger over the hole then have a helper turn the crankshaft till you feel air push your finger. then look at the harmonic balancer and turn the crank to make sure the line on it lines up with the 8 on the timing tab. then position the distributor in the hole with the rotor button pointing towards the number one spark plug. (may be necessary to put a long screwdriver in the hole for the distributor and turn the oil pump actuator in order to let the distributor fall all the way in.) after it is in put sparkplug dist. cap and other parts back on ready to start and set timing. firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2

On a rebuilt motor how do you set the timming on a 350 chevy. Thanks.

firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 remove number one spark plug its always the right drivers side head..closest to the radiator turn engine crankshaft till the top of number one piston is all the way to the top or if you have help put your thumb over the plug hole sand have someone bump the engine over till the pressure in the cylinder pops your thumb free,,,check front of crank  harmonic balancer for timing mark if you need to move crank by hand till the mark lines up to the 0...or top dead center....then make sure distributer cap is pointing to number one plug wire if not remove dist and turn to the right position and install...if it dosnt go in all the way dont worry hold light down pressure on it  and just bump the engine over and it will drop right in place then recheck your settings and install spark plug start engine and adjust with timing light check your specs
