If the dome lights on your 2007 Hyundai Tucson do not come on when the driver's side or passenger doors are open, but they do work when you press the interior dome light buttons, there are a few things you can check to try to determine the cause of the issue:
Check the door switches: Make sure that the door switches, which are located on the inside of the doors, are working properly. If the switch is not working, it will not send a signal to the dome light to turn on when the door is opened.
Check the wiring: Check the wiring that connects the door switches to the dome light. Make sure that the wiring is not damaged or corroded, and that all connections are tight.
Check the dome light fuse: Check the fuse for the dome light in the vehicle's fuse box. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same amperage.
Check the BCM(Body Control Module): The Body Control Module controls the door switches and the dome light. Make sure that the BCM is not malfunctioning.
Check the Sunroof switch: Make sure that the sunroof switch is not malfunctioning, sometimes that switch is used to turn on the dome light, if the switch is not working the dome light will not turn on.
It's important to have a professional technician to diagnose the issue and confirm what the problem is before trying to fix it. If you're not comfortable with troubleshooting the issue yourself, it's best to contact Hyundai dealership or a mechanic for further assistance. https://amzn.to/3XfuL5A

Dome light issues with Chevrolet Express van. Easy Fix
To the right of the headlight switch/knob, there is a square plastic base for the "dimmer" It has a post-like button in the center .. above the post is a switch - it doesn't look like one (it reads "Dome Off"). Press it in, and the interrior lights will come on when the doors open, etc. I just had my van serviced, and had to do this myself.
On all doors, it comes on momentarily, then off, as well as switch on dash, leads me to believe there is a circuit breaker in that circuit that's tripping. In some vehicles, they'll use these for power windows, and other circuits for some reason. Have you pulled dome light down & checked that light itself has a good ground going to it, and no bare wire or connector in behind panel that may be rubbing on metal ?
Did you check the dome override button? It shoiuld not be pressed in, otherwise the lights won't come on with the door or the dimmer slide switch moved all the way to the top.
