I read I could maybe reset a sensor by turning the heat to cold til I feel the account then back to hot til I feel the hea. I tried that and it would not change Temps .. and my defrost will not work .if I turn the car off with it set on a ac I'll work if I turn t off set on heat it works but not my defrost and some times temp won't change at all unless I turn off car and restart it ..

this is due to the cable behind the dash kinking when you move the knob at worst you may need a new cable at best you can try to get your head under the dash and reposition the cable eg. cable tie it over to one side so it dosn't kink
its not to hard to do just a little hard to get to good luck

Sounds like either the a/c relay is bad or a/c compressor clutch is not disengaging. Look on the compressor for an electrical connector, and if you can, unplug it. That should stop the battery drain. I would suggest taking the car into a good a/c shop to have the compressor looked at. The clutch can be replaced without having to buy a new compressor.

You have a broken mounting at the end of the cable,at the housing thats why the temp. control knob doesnt work, you can remove the center console to gain access to pivot the broken piece manually and try to modify it so you can attach the cablr
