It sounds like the steering wheel lock is in a bind. I suggest you put one hand on the key and the other on top of the steering wheel. You then try moving the wheel slightly to one side then the other as you try to turn the key. It might take a bit of oomph to get the steering wheel to move. I hope this helps.
Is your steering wheel turned tight.Sometimes if you park and leave your wheels turned a little bit it pulls on the lock on the steering wheel sometimes. You have to try and move your steering wheel when its off and see if its real hard to move.try pulling the steering wheel off the lock and turn the key.also I think u meant the brain.
Anything that goes around may rattle if not aligned. From wheels to, well, you name it. Lots of moving parts under the hood. A friend of mine had a "rattling" sound from his car when he was backing up. Turned out to be a lose front wheel...
Have you tried to turn the steering wheel side-to-side, while turning the key?
The steering wheel may be very hard to turn, but moving it just a little may free-up the key
Sometimes parking against a curb, or turning off the car while the steering is turned all the way to one side, will cause the stering wheel lock to actually lock the key cylinder from turning.
I bet you your stearing wheel is locked, so try this.....When you put the keys in the ignition rock the steering wheel left and right while trying to turn the key....This is a common thing with most vehicles
turn key to off/lock position. then turn steering wheel left/right at the same time pulling out key. lubricate key hole with wd40. there is button over or under the ignition key assy. push
Most likely the steering components are in a bind. I would try and move the steering wheel around while trying to turn the key. You can try to turn the wheel ever so slightly to unbind the wheel and then you should be able to turn the key.
