2002~2005 Kia Sedona suffer from AC compressor hose collapse or kinks that literally cause the layers of the hose to internally delaminate, which cannot be seen unless you were to cut it open. The loose inner layer then gets sucked against the opposite side thereby totally obstructing the suction hose flow, a condition totally not visible to the outside. The result is destruction of either the compressor clutch or the compressor itself or both. Here is a link to an permanent fix sold only on eBay to eliminate the suction or low pressure hose from kinking or collapsing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181880844799
Upon installtion, AC should be notably colder at lower pressure as pipe no longer constricted and with no kinks your compressor and AC clutch should last considerably longer as much less suction stress. Even a new KIA OEM suction hose immediatly kinks simply upon positioning to install it ... this custom hose design eliminates that problem.2002 kia sedona - ac won't cool - 5dd95249-7181-40f9-a942-adcdd079504f.jpg

Kia sedona compressor clutch does not turn?

check for fuse and relay problems in the ac circuit. disconnect the wire near the ac clutch and use a test light to see if there is power there. Remember that there are 3 units that will stop the clutch from working. Low pressure switch, high pressure switch and the thermostat. Best take it to an accredited ac specialist shop for a test of the system as you may have a leak and all the gas is gone.

2004 kia sedona ex ac not working can jump ac

You could have several problems. If your pressure readings (freon) are low it will not kick on the clutch for the compressor. Do you happen to know what your pressure readings are when you do jump it or what they are (low or high pressure side) when it isn't engauged? Also you could be dealing with a relay or a sensor that detects your pressure readings. Really knowing your pressure readings would be a start before I can begin to help.

Will no freon prevent me from adding freon if the compressor wont engage without it

Sort of.
If the system is empty, you would need to jumper the low pressure switch to power the ac clutch to put the first can or two of freon in.
Keep in mind the system is supposed to be vacuumed out before adding freon, so if it is full of air you won't be able to put the full amount of gas in.

2005 Sedona fully charged, compressor does not turn on

Normally you would check for voltage at the relay then the low pressure switch, then the compressor clutch.
With the system charged or the low pressure switch bypassed you should have 12 volts at the clutch and ground. You can also check the clutch with an ohms meter to see if the magnet is open.

2002 Chevy Express 1500. A/C Full of freon, fan blows hot air and not cold at all. What can it be?

check all fuses first. does ac compressor come on? if not, unplug pressure switch in low pressure line near where you add freon and short across pigtail. comes on now and cools? replace switch. if not plug back in. apply manual voltage to ac compressor. comes on and cools? if not compressor or clutch is bad. if it does, check ac relay. that's about all you can do with limited tools in the driveway. if no progress has been made, time to take it to the pros.

A/C is blowing hot air. Freon is full, compressor

2006 Kia Sorento EX. I had this same problem. It started after I had the ac compressor replaced. At first it was intermittent, it would blow cold and then blow hot, blow cold then blow hot again until it just started blowing hot. Turned out it was the AC relay switch in the fuse box under the hood, I swap it out with the horn relay switch (they were the same type relay switch) the ac has been working fine ever since and the horn also works even with the bad relay switch. Go figure?

Ac will not take a charge ac is blowing hot 2002 kia sedona

could be a problem with the heater controls ,or you do not have the right machine to recharge the vehicle properly with R134 ,the vehicle needs to have the system reclaimed then oil recovery and then a vacumn before the oil is added and the gas by weight. For this you need a special machine
