So make sure you get a new gasket and filter as this is a good idea Also. Do not run the engine without sufficient fluid to prime the hydraulic pump and the transmission. does it have an automatic or manual transmission? If it's a manual transmission there is no dipstick. If It's a automatic transmission the dipstick should be located near the firewall of the vehicle where the transmission bolts up to the engine block and usually has a red handle to designate it as the transmission dipstick.
ok i think i had the same problem check the wires the one that star on the starter check it all the way to where it ends, on my car i had an electrical problem and it was baisicle doing the same thing...
If you are facing your engine, look on the right hand side of the engine, down towards the front by the radiator, you should see the dipstick for the automatic transaxle (if this an automatic transmission of course)
the ignition modgule may be breaking down when it gets hot mt caviler did same thing ,i replaced the modgule been fine ever since
