Hi James, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair
James, there is a lot of things that can cause stalling, anything from. EGR Valve sticking in the open position. Vacuum Leaks large enough to cause stalling problems. WIRING issue where wires are frayed and grounding on the engine are brackets somewhere. FUEL PUMP that after heats up shuts down. Throttle Position Sensor that's BAD. and much more.
James each and everyone of this things and more will need to be diagnosed to find the one thing that's causing you problem. The engine size, make, model would help a little but stalling issues are hard to find. ONE THING THOUGH:
James, I want you to try one thing tap the Idle Air Control Motor and see if the idle changes. Next, tap on the TPS and see if the idle changes. Next, tap on the EGR Valve and see if the idle changes. Next, wiggle all the engine wiring and see if the idle changes. I hope one of these will lead you to the problem.
