There isn't a 5 liter but there is a 5.8 liter. Here is a picture:

Here are the firing order diagrams for those engines and I hope that they will help you solve the problem that you are having. For some reason Ford has listed the same firing order for both engines starting in 1995.

my ford explore is not reading mileage

well do not no if its an 8cy or 6cy but if 6cy its 142536 if 8cy 13726548 looking at motor 1234is on passengers side 5678 on driver same gose for the six cylinder
