I have a 2005 Hyundai Accent. It died while running. At the time it died the battery and radio and such was still somewhat working but it was not turning over. A couple days later I tried to turn it on and got no power. The battery terminals and battery were super old so we replaced those. We replaced the battery and terminal cables. The cables go directly to the alternator. Now, even with the new battery and cables it is getting no power..we checked the cables going into the alternator and there is power going through the cables. I have been told it is weird that the cables go straight to the alternator but that is what is going on. Any ideas? Is there a way to test the alternator or the starter while they are still on the car yet the battery isn't getting anything power?

SOURCE: 1994 Toyota Tercel Starter Problems

sounds to me that you have an igniton problem not a starter problem and or if you have or had an alarm system could be cause if u do give me feedback and i will explain but seems that your starter is fine from what u say but if you think in terms of the elemts to start a vehicle batery gives pwoer to ignition which sends to starter which gives spark etc i would check you ignition system something is causeing a short and not alowing starter to function

Your alternator should power everything when engine is running. Battery is only for start up. Test voltage with a multimeter when engine is running , should be 14V or more . Any less indicates low alternator output.

Setting the time on a Hyundai Accent 2005

Hima: I don't know, but I have heard it suggested that a person can set an alarm for 11:50 AM, then run outside with some battery wrenches and at 11:58 disconnect the battery for a minute. That should start it about at the right time.

Hi i have a hyundai accent 2005 battery went dead now radio is locked i bought it secondhand it didnt have the code in the book my vin number is kmhcg51cr5u292649

you'll have to go to the dealer

if you sweet talk the service writer you might get the code for free...make sure you tell them how much you love the car and the factory radio and would hate to have to buy an aftermarket radio

However, more often than not you'll have to pay for service and at $90/hour it might just be cheaper to get an aftermarket radio

Code for radio hyundai accent 2005

usually on a credit size card in the log book or written down in there somewhere, its a 4 digit code but dont keep trying as the more incorrect codes you enter the radio lock for longer each time until its minutes, hours, weeks.
If you cant find it you have to pay the dealer to re-set it, not cheap, better getting a replacement radio & a dash converter to fit!
