SOURCE: Evaporator drain hose clogged. Cannot find to clean out.

Should be underneath the car around the area in front of where your front passengers feet are. A short rubber hose, sticking out of the firewall. (It may be boxed into the metal structure, so look close)

I just bought a 2006 Honda civic, there is a small hose coming out of nipple on top of the thermostat housing. Previous owner seems to have plugged both end of the hose. Everything seems to be working...

this diagram looks like the idle air control valve ( or Known as the 'I.A.C.") coolant supply and return hoses . or Bypass hoses. pending on who interpreted the diagram. but diagram resembles an older setup versus 2006 hose routing should be more towards throttle body intake. how this works is coolant temperature controls Idle. if valve is stuck you could have an erratic idle like fluctuating from high to low. if you can submit actual photo of engine i could be more specific .

Why is carpet damp or wet?

Sounds like the air conditioning evaporator/heater box has a blocked drain, when using a/c condensation will form on the evaporator, and should drain via hose externally...

The drain hose will run through the floor directly under where the a/c fan/evaporator box is located, you may have to remove some kick panels or part of dashboard to access the evaporator box to clean the drain hose....

There is water the fills the floor of the passenger side of the car when the air conditioner is running

The AC condensation drain is clogged, when the AC is on water is condensed on the cold AC evaporator core (this part is what cools the incomming air), this water drains out the bottom of the heater/AC air duct, the drain is at the bottom of the firewall under the hood on the passenger side, run a coat hangar up into the drain to clear it.

Air-conditioning leaking inside car

  1. Air conditioner evaporator drain hose is blocked. Clear the drain hose where it exits the passenger compartment.
  2. Air conditioner evaporator drain hose is disconnected. Secure the drain hose to the evaporator drainage tray under the dashboard.

I have a clogged ac drain line on my Mit Endevour 2004. I have read on other sites that it is located behind the barke line on the firewall but I can't find it . Help Please

hI!

The evaporator is the one that condensates, the evaporator is located inside the blower assembly in the passenger side of the engine compartment. Look for the two hoses coming from the AC ino the firewall, they connect to the evaporator, (the one that sweats) and the drain hose should be somewhere underneat.

I have seen cases in which the drain hose is gone, look for an 90 degree elbow pointing downwards.

It should be close to firewall, neer a/c evaporator. A hose in that vicinity will have a connection that can be opened up. it should be there. I can point it out, but without seeing it,?? I don't have a diagram......send me a pic of your truck and I will explain it to you......

Air conditioning sweating

All vehicles have a drain for the A/C evaporator - look for the drain hose, disconnect and make sure it's clear.
