Does a 2001 Chevy lumina have an anti syphon device

I'm pretty sure all these newer cars have a screen in the filler hose. Very difficult to siphon gas anymore. Try taking off the filler hose at the tank, then you can get a hose into the tank.

Why cant i syphon gas out of 07' mitsubishi galant? Does this year and model have an anti-syphon ball?

Where are you siphoning it from? Under tank or from tank mouth? Under, not siphoning, it is clogged. From mouth, keep sucking hose til gas propel from it.

The tank is almost full, but no matter how i put the hose in I can't get it to go down far enough to syphon the gas out

Hi, there are baffles in the filler pipe designed to prevent siphoning. If you need to drain the tank, I would disconnect the filter and use the fuel pump to drain it.

I am trying to syphon gas from my 99 Cavalier with a fluid transfer pump.when I run the hose down the filler neck I meet resistance and try to pump only getting small sprays of gas.Do the '99 model's have...

Yes, virtually all cars have them these days. You will not get any fuel out of the filler cap. There are some places you might get access to the tank contents like the outlet to or from the pump, the rubber connector that connects the filler pipe to the tank or the fuel pump if it is mounted in the tank and is accessible under the back seat.

I need to drain gas out of my tank, my daughter put diesel in by mistake, how can i do it? this vehicle has an anti-syphon ball in the tank.

I would try disconnecting the filler hose and see if you can bypass the anti siphon ball by siphoning out of the tank it's self. Most of the time there is a a rubber hose that goes from the filler to the tank its self. If that does not work you may need to remove the gas tank and drain it.

Does the 2004 cavalier have an anti-siphon valve between the filler tube and the gas tank?

Yes, it has a wire mesh type anti syphon device, if you desperately need to syphon fuel from the vehicle it can be pushed through with the hose pipe, but you may risk blocking the fuel outlet if the mesh falls into the tank.

When I pump gas, the gas pump clicks off every few seconds or so. I can't get more than 2 gallons in the tank before it clicks off. I takes me like 10 minutes to fill my tank.

is this happening at the same pump??? Each pump has a tiny vacuum line that's located in the spout. When the gas reaches a certain level and starts to cause a vacuum, the pump shuts off
