Well...it could be the window switch(part costs about 10 dollars to install yourself) or it could be the window motor(part costs about 55 dollars to install yourself)..and i have ruled out fuses and relays because the other windows work..but i would troubleshoot it and see if you have voltage to the window motor..and if you do..then you can rule out the switch..and its the motor..i hope this has helped and answered ya question

SOURCE: The driver side window suddenly lowered and will

it depends on your idea of exspensive. you probably have a regulator [window] gone bad.a couple of hundred bucks or so, depending on parts cost should do it

  • Yes, it is getting ground, window switch has power one side other ground, revisable motor . driver master switch has a ground G204 . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop before you fry something .

drivers side motor which is new, clicks ??? Did you replace the regulator ?

  • Jeff Armer May 14, 2022
If it didn't have ground, it wouldn't even click . Do yourself a favor and quit trying to play auto tech and take it to a qualified repair shop.

My 2007 vw eos drivers window won.t close, all others works fine

Could be the master switch because the drivers window is mostly used, or the window motor/regulator. same reason. Easy to check with a volt/ohm meter. You'll need wiring/pin outs for electrical.

Drivers window not working

depends if it is an power window as it could be a bad fuse, relay, switch, connection, wire broken or the power window motor. each needs to be checked out. if its a manual window it could be the window regulator that is bad. so as you can see it can be both expensive and not expensive. won`t know until the problem is found.

My driver side window fell down & the electric switch won't raise it.l

If the switch is broken, you can put the switch down, short circuit closed first, if is bad, there is no way to the machine. Had better find a repair shop.car key programmer

Drivers side window won't go up or down it doesn't make any noise

Unless your experienced in auto repairs or
troubleshooting electrical systems, take the car to
a local repair shop.

Most likely a worn out switch or bad window motor

Do not go to a dealer. Too expensive

Have you tried replacing the master window switch? Just because the other windows work doesnt mean that switch for that window is good.

The main switch is controled by the drivers door main unit.....i had to use a forward force on my windows switch for it to work....so replaced the whole unit, you could find those on ebay cheap if local auto parts is expensive

Window will not roll up

Their is a separate motor for each window. The least expensive fix is to replace the entire track assembly and motor. This is not a big job if you have done it before but it could be if you are not mechanical.

2000 GMC Jimmy SLE driver's power window

The same thing happened to my 1999 JMC Jimmy recently. I believe the problem is that your power window motor has most likely gone out or is starting to go out. The motor will need replaced. They are pretty expensive new. I went to a junkyard and got one for around 15 dollars. When mine went bad, I had rolled my window down about three or four inches and it stuck there. I took my door panel off and tapped on the motor while holding up on the window switch and got it to go up after a few minutes. I am replacing my motor today, I'll leave an update here about the outcome when I finish the job. I hope this information helps you.
