so , you answer all those questions there.
and get sensor
Crank sensor search there works
and can be different spot with different engine.

gen 7 car
K series engines began that year.

as you can see we;'d NEVER guess the engine. ever.
open hood (USA) look up see EPA sticker it TELLS which of above you have.
bingo?

why not post symptoms so we cans stop the guessing game.

Whats the sensor that is under the distributor on a 1991 honda civic ex?.my car doesnt start without that. also from 1st to 2nd gear my car feels like it slips out of gear and shakes or something..does...

I think you mean the distributor ignition module
If you have an automatic transmission it probably
a vacuum advance valve/Sensor hose may be missing or
defective. You can probably find the manual at your local

Need to know the steps on how to set the timming on a 1991 hona civic

FIRST:
Click on the following free direct Link. It has the Serpentine Belt Diagram and Tensioner location for your specific 1.5L or 1.6L Engine and options (AC/No AC etc.).
It also has the directional diagrams on how to rotate the Adjustment Bolts on both the Alternator and Power Steering to loosen the belts, inorder to both remove and reinstall the belts.

http://www.2carpros.com/car_repair_information/year/1991/make/honda/model/civic/1991_honda_civic_drive_belt_routing_diagram.htm
SECOND:
Click on the following free direct Link. It has the Timing: Belt and Mark Diagrams for your 1991 Honda Civic. Plus additional Instructional and Directional Diagrams.
http://www.2carpros.com/car_repair_information/year/1991/make/honda/model/civic/1991_honda_civic_timing_belt_diagram_marks.htm

I would also strongly suggest purchasing either a Haynes or Chilton Manual, available at most auto parts stores. It has specific information you will need incuding the Torque Specifications for each and every Bolt and Nut you will be removing. Cost is $20-$25 fo the manuals.

Honda Civic EX Model

There are 2 engines for 92 civics, so that can make ordering parts 'interesting" sometimes. Some websites that sell factory OEM parts have the option of using your vin for your vehicle to locate parts. The only problem there, is that OEM parts are more expensive Check out hondapartscheap site, from Southbay Honda for great diagrams of car parts. You can use your vin on their site for access to proper parts.
