A CAT symbol appears or blinks in my golf 3 CLI dashboard, what does it mean?

the orange light means ur engine managment light , this is a symbol that looks like a engine you need to take it to you local garage as soon as you can and have some diagnostics put on ur car to find out why it has come on as your ecu will have stored the dtc (diagnostic trouble code)

It means that the one of your tires needs air and out of balance.

sounds like it could be the emergency brake light. could be stuck switch or could also be the brake fluid level is low. if this is the case you have a leak and should inspect the system!

stop by autozone (if you live in the states) they will scan the codes for free, they will often tell you what it is or post the codes here.

It appears that your wind shield washer reservoir needs topping up.

if the blinking light looks a cross section of a tire with a exclamation mark in it almost like this (_!_) it is just about the only one that blinks. its tire pressure light chk your air in all tires

try checking the fluid levels ,brake fluid, power steering washer bottle??
