2008 Ford Fusion. My car won't start. The anti theft light keeps showing and my blinker keeps going off even with no key in the ignition.

Question edited to add in 'year make model'.
Question moved to model category.

Jeff Armer is the Expert Auto electronics Expert on the site, but I found two ways to reset the Security System and Immobilizer.

  1. Insert the key into the driver's side door lock.
  2. Turn the key once, but not all the way to unlock the door. Leave the key in this position for 40-60 seconds. ...
  3. Do this again, but turn the key in the opposite direction.
  4. Remove the key from the door, get into your Ford, and start the engine. The system should be reset.

2011 BMW 328i. Yellow exclamation mark, won't crank new battery installed and CAS module relay replaced. I don't know what else to do. Any recommendation?

When you disconnect the battery, it causes the anti-theft system pairing to break. On reconnecting the battery, the key and transponder chip need re-pairing. There are some ideas in the link, but with a BMW your best bet is to call a mobile auto-electrician or an auto locksmith. They both have pro grade scan tool computers that can reset the anti-theft system and diagnose any other electrical issues.

2012 ford fusion anti theft reset

Try this, remove key from car, remove positive cable for about ten minutes, then place key in car and turn to the on position, then replace battery cable, should reset, but if not you may have to take it to dealer to reset it. Cargurus quote.

As to the below, it is something you do at your own risk.
