If you have no problems with any valve or perhaps the heater blower motor then heater core could be plugged, I have back flushed some successfully by changing the flow of coolant backward and catching back flow in a separate container. Could actually see large amounts of coolant stop leak.
1st thing to check, is coolant level full.
2nd , is the blower motor actually blowing,
Traveling down the road causes ram air to push through the heater as long as the controls are set for fresh air intake.
Remember If allumaseal will not plug a leak then more professional measures must be used. Many radiator stop leaks are so effective like bars leak the stuff that looks like rabbit feed pellets that when used professional help must be found because the radiator no longer has the circulation ability to cool the engine and if a vehicle is run any at all above max operating temperatures it will normally result in costly repairs. I have personally used fine ground black pepper and had good results but it must be very fine ground no matter what is used it must be small enough to travel through the small tubes of the radiator and or heater core. If larger particles are used coolant flow will probably be restricted enough to cause either no heat in the cabin or overheating of the engine which most certainly can cause serious damage the very first time.

09 Outlander overheating. Replaced water pump, thermostat, drive belt, flushed heater core, and no visible leaks

Re-flush the system again, I know but it's best you do. Buy a lower degree thermostat and see how it does.

NO heat at idle??

Your heater core is partially blocked. I know you flushed it, but you can't get all of the sediment out and make it flow under low RPM because of the blockage caused by scale and oxidation caused by minerals in water/coolant. Try to flush it again using CLR, and if that doesn't work, you'll most likely have to replace it. Hope this helped!

92 chevy 1500 silverado Changed thermostat, heater core, core hose not hot. No heat

It sounds like your heater core is stopped up. try flushing it out, you can use a water hose. and if you cant get it to clean out then you will need to change the heater core.

Have a 99 nissan altima that wont heat at an iddle. have changed the 2 thermostats and water pump. also bleed the system pre the tech service bulitin, and still have no heat at times at an iddle. any...

yes, have suggestion.leaking coolant into the passeger side floorboard? film on the windsheild at anytime? suggest a bad heater core. or this, heater core stopped up.needs to be flushed.flush radiator with a common flush found at autozone, advance autoparts stores.or any other auto parts stores. remove your heater core hoses on the firewall[2 small hoses that go from the motor through the firewall to the heater core itself] flush the heater core there manually.push your water hose to the passenger side there and turn hose 'on' and watch the flow out the other side.[both hoses on the firewall will have to be off[or disconnected]to do this properly. your problems here, and since you've replaced the thermostats twice, suggest that this is your issue. thank you for choosing fixya.com

My cadillac is not giving me any hot air ,ive replaced the radiator, changed the thermostat, has a new water pump, where do istart to look.

Feel the 2 tubes at the firewall for the heater core. If they are not getting hot, the heater core needs to be flushed out or replaced. I had this problem with a 1990 Cadilac Deville, it was just a plugged up heater core.

Remember to install sealant after flushing out the system to prevent leaks.

I have a 92 sedan deville, the problem i am having is very low heat. The heat is warmer at idle but cooler when driving. I have replaced the water pump, thermostat and flushed engine out.

remove the heater hoses from the connection on the bulkhead and flush the heater rad out ,if it still doesnt work then block the bottom outlet off with a cork and then using a funnel and piece of hose connected to top outlet use a 20% caustic soda solution to fill it with and leave half hour then flush it out again.fancy wasting money on pumps and whatever else ,why didnt you ask me first

98 cad deville is running at 210 degrees

Reverse flush the cooling system and put in fresh antifreeze to -20. (20 below zero). If that doesn't help, replace the thermostat.

No heat on a 1994 4 cyl. Dodge Caravan

Pretty common on those. I used CLR and disconnected my heater hoses & with a small pump, I ran CLR only, through the heater core, and let it sit in there overnight, flushed it through again next day, back flush as well. re-connect hoses, run engine with heater on, and rad cap off until the rad fan comes on 2 or 3 times, then put cap back on, to bleed air out of system. Cleaned it out enough to get the heat flowing again. If you changed thermostat and didn't let it run with heat on, and rad cap off for a while as described above, then do that first, just to make sure you haven't just got an air lock in the system.
