The 2.4L cam sensors are located on the front or rear of the engine on the drivers side.

The 2.0L supercharged engine has a cam position sensor that reads at the end (drivers side) of the exhaust camshaft. This sensor requires a timing procedure which must be done before removing it.

2010 buick enclave...need to know location of camshaft position sensor

I think some people (myself included) are confused between camshaft and crankshaft position sensors. I believe their are 4 camshaft position sensors in 2 banks, I’d like to know all these locations as I have p0014 and p0021 corresponding to both banks of CAM shaft sensors. Where are these locations please? I have 2009 Enclave also.

Where is the camshaft position sensor located in my 06 dodge magnum? And is there anything special i may need to know in order to replace it myself?

The camshaft position sensor, it is on the passenger side in the front on the engine block, it will have a grey connector attached.

To replace:

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove 10mm bolt and remove camshaft sensor.
Unplug sensor, apply dielectric grease to new sensor and plug in, apply a small amount of grease to o-ring, replace into block and tighten bolt.
Reconnect battery cable....that's it, your done.

Thank you for useing FixYa, please take time to rate me.

the camshaft sensor is not sold separately for a 2.5 engine,it is mounted in the distributor and you would have to replace the whole distributor!
