I have 2001 jaguar 2 type but keyless remote not work. I buy1 by internet,I take to diller but guy told me not work.you know who sales new remote,

towed home, right, and battery is 100% full dead or bad.

I am going to save you $400 here buddy. First make sure that the battery in you remote is good. Now here is Jaguars big secret, place key in ignition. Turn to position 1, now turn key up to position 2, then turn key back to 1, repeat this 4 times and you will here a ding sound. There you have it your remote is programed to your Jaguar. You must be fluid with it dont go to fast but unless its done perfectly it will not work. The ding sound is what lets you know it has worked. I had a 2002 x-type and when I bought it , it only came with 1 key hub which of course wasnt programed so I took to Jag and thats when they hit me with this crazy amount. They said $150 to test if your remote even works if it does the for another $150 they would program it for you. If your remote is bad though its $150 to test, $150 for a new key hub, and $150 to program it. And FYI we are not talking about a new key oh no. The key splits into 2 pieces $150 only gets you the remote side which is what you need to use yoyr keyless entry and trunk........ Dont ever loose the whole key bro $650 Be aptient until you find your rythem follow the steps exsactly Key in ignition pos 1 then pos 2 and repeat 3 more times giving you a total of 4 cycles through the process once you hear the ding soynd your good. You might have to repeat every once in a while but dont get yourself discouraged if your remote is already programed to you car then the process unprograms it and the process will have to be repeated. you're cars security system is activated. de activate and you should be good to go. It happens when you disconnected power to car.

turn key in ignition from position 1 to position 2 and back four times quickly you will hear beep remove key press any remote button you will hear second beep and thats it youve just reprogramed your keyfob this also works for ford key fobs but i think its five key turns from 1 to 2

You need to return the remote to midwest keyless and either tell them to give you a remote with the exact part number or buy one off of ebay. They are about $60 from the dealer. When the doors lock and unlock, the computer is telling you that the brain is now in learning mode but it is a must to have the correct remote. I have programmed thousands of keyless remotes so please believe what I say. You can program up to 4 remotes for one car but they all must be programmed at the same time. If you buy one remote and program it then get a second remote at a later date, you need to program both simultaneously. If you just program the second remote, the computer will no longer recognize the first remote. That is just some extra information for you. Let me know if you need any more help.
