SOURCE: front Left turn signal lamp doesnt work
check wire contacts in socket. If they are melted change the socket
It can be removed easily just unplug the wires.
I have replaced both front sockets on my 1999 Buick Century.
Hope this helps.

ok this is what you do,unplug the two vaccum hoses at the back of the air filter box, pull up the air filter box, dont worry it wont break, give it a quick tug upwards on the four corners, now you can get enough room to change the directionals.NOTE: changing bulbs would not solve your problem because after a couple of weeks or so you will get that turn signal warning again, your best bet is to change the turn signal socket (its about $15.00) at the dealer.,you get the new socket and bulb all in one,do both sides if you can afford it because after a couple months the other side also goes.

If new bulbs don't work, it is probably the harness that holds the bulb. I had to replace both on my car after fighting with the problem for over a year and not knowing.

I had the same problem. It was a defective lamp socket on the driver's left side, Volvo Part Number 8662985. Costs me $11.24 to replace the lamp socket, which included the bulb. If you've already replaced the bulbs yourself, you will find replacing the socket pretty easy, just use a thin flathead screwdriver to delicately pry off the metal retainer clip which holds the lamp socket in place, as you'll need to reinstall the existing metal retainer clip once you've replaced the lamp socket. Two minute job.
SOURCE: how to change left front tie rod on nissan quest
Loosen the wheel lugs, jack up the vehile, use jack stands under the frame for safety, remove the tire.Turn the steering wheel hard right. Now I am assuming you want to change the outer tie rod on the steering rod.Or maybe the inner.
Then loosen the nut and bring the nut up to be flush with the tie rod joint.
Now either with a splitting tie rod fork (you can rent one from a local parts store free) hammer it tight between the ball part of the joint and the tie rod, it should pop off from the taper lock.
If not give a few sharp raps with good sized hammer and will break it loose.
You can get a manual from your local library on the vehile to help .
