Find someone that wants a stick shift and trade with them. You're talking too much money for the result.

Is it an automatic or standard? Auto check fluid on stick. Standard trans check couch fluid or maybe you have a bad clutch plate

I see this is an older post. I have a 90 Crx and was wondering if you still have the car and how you solved the problem?

Hi Ica, I would suggest you go to the dealer, as they would be the most likely to supply it or advise where to get it. Regards John

Is the flyweel the same for both at and ma

No , they are different. Manual transmissions require a clutch that engages with flywheel, thus manual transmission flywheel is much thicker/heavier and designed to mate with clutch assembly. Automatic is thinner/lighter as they only have to mate engine to torque converter.

1991 crx wont shift after driving awhile turn it off for awhile and its fine again

im assuming this is an automatic. Provided that it's full of tranny oil, you may want to try changing the transmission oil and filter. If that doesn't do it, you could try changing the shift / speed sensor.
