Bottom section of the linked website deals with door locks if you want more ideas. Personally I bought the multipack of lock de-icer in little tubes and kept those handy.

A long time ago I had a gizmo that was battery powered. When you extended the "blade" portion into the lock the battery heated it up so you had a heated probe to work in and out of the lock.

2002 explorer driver door lock dont work already replced actuator

If the driver door lock on your 2002 Ford Explorer is not working even after replacing the actuator, there could be a few other possible causes for this issue. Here are some things you can check:
  1. Wiring and connections: Check the wiring and connections leading to the actuator to make sure they are in good condition and properly connected. A loose or damaged wire can prevent the actuator from working correctly.
  2. Door latch assembly: The door latch assembly is responsible for locking and unlocking the door. If it is damaged or worn out, it can prevent the actuator from working properly. Check the latch assembly for any signs of damage or wear, and replace it if necessary.
  3. Door lock cylinder: The door lock cylinder is the part of the lock mechanism that the key inserts into. If it is damaged or worn out, it can prevent the lock from working properly. Check the lock cylinder for any signs of damage or wear, and replace it if necessary.
  4. Central locking system: The central locking system is responsible for controlling all of the door locks in the vehicle. If there is a problem with the central locking system, it can prevent the driver door lock from working properly. Check the system for any error codes, and repair or replace any faulty components as needed.

My key will not unlock the drivers door only the remote can. Is there something within the key pad that prevents this?

Try spraying some PB Blastor into the key hole...sometimes a piece of dirt can keep the key from turning...Hope this helps. (Lock Anti-freeze)

My left passenger door will not open from inside or outside on my 07 legacy

It is possible the rear child locks are set on which would prevent opening the door from the inside. It is also possible the outside latch handle or internal mechanism is frozen.
To un-freeze it, drive the car long enough to get the interior all warmed up with the heater on high the whole time. Then try opening it again from the outside. The best thing is to have the window down and blow into the window slit with a hair dryer. If that isn't possible or convenient you could also try a pot of warm water on the outside of the door, but be aware that this water will get cold and freeze all over again if you don't get it dry before it re-freezes. But at least this exercise will confirm the source of the problem if it is freezing.
Of course, you could take the car to the dealer.

None of the doors open

The latches are "frozen" because of metal contracting in the latch or latch lubricant physically becoming more viscous or freezing and preventing movement of the latch. You may need to apply a sub-freezing lubricant to prevent them from freezing up in low temperatures. Best put the car into a garage and let the general higher temperature unfreeze the latches.

Car door frozen shut

LOL. I hope you mean stuck and not truly frozen as I would recommend hot water if you really meant such.

If stuck, this generally happens when the doors are not used often as the seals will stick to the door and body. You can use WD40 around the door and it will work its way in between and allow you to open it. Once open, you can use a dry lubricant to prevent it from happening, wax will work as well.

This is providing it is the seal and not a faulty door lock mechanism. If it is this, then you will need to use a slim jim to open the door so that you can remove the interior panel and replace the part.

I have a a pick-up B-3000 extend cab and the rear door are stuck from the button. How can opens these doors?

  • If it's simply the car door lock that's frozen, try heating your car key with a lighter and inserting it into the lock. The heat from the metal may be enough to thaw the ice and allow you to unlock it. To ensure that the lock will not freeze again, spray it with WD-40.

  • If the entire door is frozen, carefully chip the ice away from the edges with a scraper. Be careful not to scratch the paint of the car. If you cannot chip the ice away, try pouring some windshield washer fluid on the icy areas; windshield washer fluid contains alcohol and this may help melt the ice.

  • Use a blow dryer set on high to melt the surrounding ice.

  • The best way to open a frozen car door and prevent future frustration is to purchase de-icer. Many good brands are available at hardware and auto shops - just be sure the solvent displaces moisture and leaves behind a lubricant. If the lock itself is frozen, spray the product directly into the key hole, wait five seconds and then put in your key and try to turn it. Most of these products have straws that help direct the product out of the can and into small areas, making the de-icing process easy.

Once the door is open, consider spraying the de-icer along the hinges of the door to keep other parts from freezing. Keep the de-icer in your home or garage where you can easily find it. Do not keep it in your vehicle. Having de-icer in your frozen vehicle won't do you much good.
