SOURCE: dashboard emission warning has come on but my kia carens is running fine ?

Have the sedona scanned at an AutoZone or similar place and ask for code. they will not tell you whats wrong with it but they will give you a code. You can go from there. You can come back and tell us what the code is .

SOURCE: How do I get to the heater filter on my 2009 kia carens

I eventually found the answer to my problem on a website called kia-forums.com telling me to open the glove box and pull it sharply and backwards.it disconnects from the plastic hinges. The filters are easy to replace by unclipping the cover which is easy to see. This is for a 2004 kia carens

SOURCE: kia carens 2003. (UK) Don't know alternate name.

take out all the screws in the door handles etc, slide the chrome suround forwards on the interior doorpull and remove.then, very carefully prise off the inner door panel(use a Y tool for the clips,or a wide screwdiver..you will break some) with the window up,you will be able to see a wire hanging down from the outside handle,it is the clip that holds this on that is broken(very common)if the clip is okay then you will have to see what else is needed.but it will be obvious.

SOURCE: I have a kia sportage

It sounds like you lost oil pressure. This could be from lack of oil or from the pump not working. There's probably a safety switch that kills power to the motor when this happens.

I have KIA sorento 2.5 diesel 2009 model and it was overhaul engine and now the the oil lump keeps on flicking when reducing speed or idling after getting warm, What could be the problem

Remove the oil sender unit, fit a oil pressure gauge , start the engine and read the oil pressure at idle engine hot, must read above 10 psi and needle not flicking, must increase with engine speed , if pressure is ok replace censer, if not check oil pump screen and relief vale spring, can also be caused by crankshaft bearings clearance .

Kia carens oil light staying on engine sluggish

Hi John, The oil pressure warning light is indicating pressure not level. You say the warning light is on at all times and the engine is losing power? I believe you should have a compression test carried out on the vehicle. It seems highly possible there has been severe damage to the engine. Is the engine emitting any strange sounds? How long has the oil light been on? How often do you service the vehicle by replacing all filters and engine oil? What engine oil do you use? Regards John
