One of the pulleys is not turning. Could be AC, alternator, or one of the idler pulleys.Take a careful look with a good light. My bet is the idler pulley.

it depends what kind of noise, if its a licking noise the pulleys that the belt is being turned by could be bad (belt tensioner pulley ,Idler pulley etc.) if its a squealing sound like a high pitched whistle or like a rubber heal screeching on a tile floor constantly the belt is no good there is fabric on the inside of the belt and when it wears away you will get the chirp or squealing /screeching sound from this. inspection of that belt will tell you look at the grooves if looks like shiny rubber you found it if it doesn't and the fabric is there then a pulley is the problem bad bearing can make the belt slip resulting in the squealing good luck LATER MAN!
as for noise will have to inspect under hood, could be fan or belt or pulley ,water pump .these are some things it could...My suggestion for overheating is replace thermostat. If your car has electric cooling fan then it may not be working..turn defrost on and if fan kicks on then fan motor is good..Now this does not mean that fan is working properly because fan is controlled by heat sensor switch that kicks fan on when motor reaches heat range......Things i would have checked....hope this information helps and good luck and Please rate my post...
It sounds like you have a belt or pulley problem, or possibly a bad bearing in the alternator, or water pump. I would suggest, having it looked at, by a mechanic right away.
it sounds like the power steering belt is loose. If it has a tensioner pulley the spring in it might be loosing it's tensile strength. While you are looking at the belt pay attention to the side that is against the pulley to see if it has alot of cracks. If it has I think 10 cracks per inch that is too much and needs to be replaced.
sounds like it is out of fluid if you fill the fluid then turn the wheel to one side and hold it you will build up pressure and see where it leaking from.
