1995 Pathfinder 3.0L Electrical Issues

Main pwr relay and fuel pump relay get very hot. Dash lights (AT Temp, Brake, Battery light stay on even when key is in the off position or removed from cylinder. Engine cranks no fuel but fuse to fuel pump is ok. Have not checked sending unit for power at unit yet.

+12 Volt cable at battery has 2 quick connects (look like they are fusible links) if I disconnect one of them I can get the lights to come off on the dash. This connector was very hot also along with the fuel pump relay, and main relay when the car was running and I was trying to get a alternator reading across the battery.

Then all hell broke loose and now it cranks over but I have no fuel pump supply.

Checked all fuses and none are blown.

please help.

Unplug the ECM connection and see if those lights go off.For some reason the relays are not turning off and are controlled via the ECM.

My 2004 Chevrolet cavalier right front headlight keeps blowing with a clicking noise under dash when I hit brakes unless headlights are on. What could be causing this to happen? thank you

Sounds like you have a electrical short in the brake light switch. Finding electrical issues can be a bit tricky but I would start with the under dash relay you hear clicking when you depress the brake pedal.

Lights stay on dash board brake light, battery, all doors light and brake lamp light

Could be stuck relay. With good battery, feel top of each relay and if you find one that is hot, replace it. Could also be bad ignition switch.

I have a 1995 Subaru impreza that has me fed up with it. I am getting no fuel from the pump. I replaced the pump and pump relay, still no fuel. that's when I noticed the check engine light wasn't coming...

Hooking up a scan tool to see if the engine computer is communicating should be done . The ECU - engine computer controls a relay to energize the fuel pump relay . Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? How to read an use a wiring diagram to find testing points in a electrical circuit ? It's probably the main relay , this powers up the Powers up the ECU ,that's why the check engine light is not on .

The abs light stays on and the brake lights stay on even when the ignition switch is off

check the brake light switch. it is located under the drivers side of the dash on the lever the brake pedal is attached to. If the switch is stuck in the on position it will cause all of the symptoms you have described.
