If you used a different grade of oil or graphite oil, the nozzle that sprays oil on the bearings in the turbo can plug up stopping lubrication and that will cause a massive failure
first thought is that the fuel gauge is 1/4 off and the tank is empty enough to allow the fuel to run from the pump pickup
refill when the gauge is 1/2 way between 1/2 and 1/4 and see if the problem persists
2004 vw 2000sdi caddy van wont start some mornings you need to wind it over before it fires, immediately after it fires you can switch off ignition and it will start first time and continue to start all day. vw dealer says no fault codes present. gloplugs renewed, new battery,fuel problem? Has anyone come accross similar problem I
as the caddy van is based on the polo/seat saloon and has the same non turbo engine any one will do.
also the timing marks are on the top and bottom pulleys(you may need chalk to highlight them) PLEASE replace the tensioner at the same time as these go first.
