My 2005 Mini cooper converttible engine is

My 2005 Mini cooper converttible engine is leaking a black flluid on rhe left side of the engine as you stand opening the hood. there has been a strange noise for awhile that seemed suspect. The manual is very limited on listing engine parts so I can't seem to determine the name
of the part leaking or what the problem seems to be. Can you help?

The engine mount on the passenger side of the engine bay sounds like the problem. This would create a single clicking noise under engine load.
So you need to replace the right upper motor mount.
