2003 Lincoln Navigator. Heated seats.

Posting an answer as a follow-up doesn't work on Fixya because posts are not threaded by User. This question has no context to any previous questions and answers.

The correct way is to click COMMENT under the answer of the person you wish to reply to, in this case our Expert, Steve Pack.

HOWEVER. I looked at your posting history and I don't see any replies to you from Steve!! There are two possible reasons

!. You posted Anonymously, in which case it doesn't show on my history. It will show on yours though. Go to that question and reply.
2. You read a SUGGESTED Answer where someone else asked a similar question and Steve replied.

One major benefit of doing it the right way is that Steve would get a Notification that someone had replied and needed further help. Doing it your way, it would be pure luck if he saw it. I came across a post made in a similar way referring to me by name and it was made over a year previously!!

In your questions you had contact with our Expert Jeff Armer. He is a full time master auto electrician and the best one to reply to by clicking Comment under his Answer. He is a great guy and I noticed you didn't thank him :>(

Where is the fuse for the cigar lighter on a 2007 1.8 petrol mondeo please?

It's behind the drop down "glove box" above the front passenger foot-well

You need to sit in the passenger seat, open the glove box and (whilst preferably empty) gently but very firmly pull it forwards towards yourself. It's just held in by 2 plastic clips (sort of horseshoe shape) in the dashboard - 1 either side - retaining the "round" hinge of the storage box itself.

Be careful not to pull it right out all the way before checking 2 things.
There may be a wire attached to the rear right-hand corner of the compartment - this is the AUX IN to the RADIO.
Secondly there may be a small plastic device on the left rear corner.
This is a DAMPER that just stops the glove box opening "quickly" all the way ending in a "THUD" - it controls a "slow opening" - not fitted to all models I believe.
Disconnect any wires / un-clip the little peg on the damper

Once removed you need a torch and to get your head where your feet were moments earlier.

You'll see a fuse and relay panel with layout something like this

http://www.autogenius.info/wp-content/uploads/Ford/Mondeo/ford-mondeo-mk3-fuse-box-glovebox.jpg

You want the 15A fuse number F68

That's the top 1 of the 3 in the left-hand most column

Fuse panel looks like this - notice "horseshoe CLIP" bottom left

Once replaced, reverse steps of glove box removal.

Quite easy - should take 5 to 10 minutes

I bought a second-hand 2004 Audi A6 Quatro recently. The speedometer intermittently does not work, just stays on zero. All other gauges are fine, but the engine light is on.

speedo
part failed is a rpm sensor
on the gearbox somewhere or wheel sensors

engine ligh says there a fault codes stored in the ECU
that need to be read to find the failed part

How to change front power seat track worm in 1993 landcruiser

Lift the front edge of the seat bottom by using the regular power seat switch. Take voltage readings of the seat slide motor.2 Verify that the voltage to the seat slide motor on the harness side between "BR" and "W/B" is 12v when the power seat's switch is pressed backwards and forwards. Jot down your radio presets and tap the seat slide motor so that the motor will work long enough to give you access to the seat mounting bolts.3 Pull the seat as forward as it will go. Take off the two M10 rear seat mounting bolts and set them aside. Push the seat as far back as it will go. Take off the two M10 front seat mounting bolts. Switch the ignition so that it marks "OFF." Unplug the negative battery cable. Stand by for 4 minutes. Raise the seat assembly to find the harness-to-seat connectors. Disconnect them.4 Take out the entire seat assembly and place it on a dry, clean, flat surface. Position it so you can access the bottom of the seat. Undo the seat bottom's carpet flap and take out the four M8 bolts. Then, take out the top screws from the right hand and left hand side finishers. Unplug the seat sub-harness connector.5 Put both the seat rails back into their rear position and take out the worm gears, motor, flexible wire and gear boxes all at the same time. Take out the flexible wire from the gear boxes using a screwdriver. Verify that the new seat track mounting tab makes contact with the rear stopper and that the threaded shaft facing up is point upwards. 6 Install six new rubber grommets. Place the new worm gears, flexible wire and gear boxes into the frame. Reposition the seat tracks over the seat track mounting tabs. Use your hand to tighten the M6 bolts securing the seat track mounting tabs. Torque the six base plate nuts securing the gear boxes to 64 to 85 inch pounds (7.17 to 9.69 Nm) and the M8 bolts on the seat's front edge to 13 to 17 foot pounds (17.5 to 23.7 Nm).7 Plug the slide motor connector back in and hook the carpet flap's strap. Reinstall the seat assembly and reconnect the electrical connectors and negative battery cable. Torque the mounting bolts to 27 to 36 foot pounds (37 to 49 Nm). Operate the seat to make sure that the problem has been resolved
