Pull switch out.with no lights on buttons and it not shifting,put in a new switch.

Get a wiring diagram from your local mechanic. Check the connector at the transmission to see if the 'Engage' signal is still there for 4X4. If the signal is there, go back to the control module to see if the command for 4X4 is present. You may have a bad switch causing the condition. Coffee, soda. and other contaminants can ruin the switch. The light went out with the bad switch. The schematic diagram will tell you what direction is the wright way to go. Good luck!! Give the mechanic $20 for the wiring diagram. He has to pay for them and it is gust good business! Paul

4WD actuators are known to fail quite often on these.
