2006 chevy impala won't start

Turning key into on position, waiting ten minutes and then try again. Also tried unlocking door from outside and then tried to start again. Also made sure it was in park and tried again.

Red trianle on

Usually you will need to disconnect battery, wait 5 minutes, reconnect battery, turn vehicle to on position but do not try starting. Wait 15 minutes with key on. Turn off vehicle, wait one minute. Lock door, unlock door. Try starting.

Lost set of keys, alarm was on car locked. Found spare key only, it will open door, alarm goes off, but the key won't start engine. It will turn in ignition, but dead! It's a Chevy HHR 2006! HELP

Close the doors. Lock the doors using the buttons on the key fob. Use the fob to again unlock the doors. The key should then work the ignition. If this will not work, you will have to tow your vehicle to the dealer and buy a new key and/or fob and have it programmed to the vehicle.

2006 Chevy Impala service security system flashes on he the display. Everything works bit the car will not start it just clicks.

Passlock sensor in the ignition switch is probably bad.try starting the car, when it does not start leave the key in the run position for 10 minutes, then try to restart the car.(after the car sits for ten minutes the security light should be out.) If it now starts you need a new passlock sensor.

MY 2003 CHEVY IMPALA WILL START BUT NOT TURN OVER, CAN YOU HELP?

Your keys need to be reprogramed, especially if you have disconnected the battery. To do this operation you will need 30 minutes of your valuable time or take it to the dealer & pay through the nose. Turn your key to on position but do not start. Leave key on for ten minutes & then shut off & on. Again do not start & leave key on for ten minutes. Do this a third time the same way. Turn off after the 3rd 10 mins. & start car. The key will be reprogramed to the power control module. Do this procedure with any spare keys. Good luck!

Are you reffering to the alarm or the pass lock system that put the theft light on.....If its the alarm the put the key in the door and unlock it. If its the pass lock system put the key in the ignition and turn it on and try to start the vehicle. After it shuts itself off leave the key on for ten min until the theft light stops flashing the turn key off and try to start it again. This may take a few times....

How do I program my key for my 2006 Chevy Impala?

Add Duplicate Key (PK3 or PK3+ key)
1. Insert an existing key into the ignition cylinder.
2. Turn the ignition cylinder to ON (RUN) and back to OFF.
3. Remove the existing key and, within fifteen seconds, insert the new key
and turn it to ON (RUN).
4. The security light will light up for two seconds to indicate success in programming
the key into the vehicle.
Originate New Master Key (PK3 or PK3+ key)

1. Insert new key into ignition cylinder and turn it to the ON (RUN) position.
The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten minutes.
2. When the security light goes out, you have one minute to start the next
step. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back to the ON (RUN)
position. The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten
more minutes.
3. When the security light goes out, you have one minute to start the next
step. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back on the ON (RUN)
position. The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten
more minutes.
4. After the security light has gone off the third time, the key has been programmed
into the vehicle’s computer and will operate the car. It has replaced ALL the
previous electronic key codes and is the ONLY key programmed into the
vehicle’s computer.
