I have a 1998 Chevy Silverado. I was pulling a lite trailer and started to hear a clicking or snapping like sound under the truck near the driveline, rear wheel, or around the rear axel somewhere. I drove it today without the trailer and heard it when I gave it a little gas. I was going about 15 mph.

Check the U-joints in the driveshaft.
