I have a 2011 Ford Fusion. The tail lights have stopped working. I replaced the bulbs and checked the fuse. They are good. The tail light's come on only when unlocking the car with remote. Both turning signals come on at the same time no matter which side I turn on. Hazardous light's and brake light's still work. Tail light's still doesn't come on while driving. How do I fix this?

Light bulbs require power and ground in order to work. The ground circuit for the left rear combination lamp is shared between the turn lamp, stop lamp and tail lamp. Because the tail light still works in that specific combination lamp, we know that the shared/common ground for that assembly is OK. The power circuit for both stop lamps (left and right) have the same origin; voltage flows from the STOP LP FUSE (15A) through the DBC RELAY (when the stop lamp switch is pressed) and then to each stop lamp via their respective circuit branches. Because the right stop lamp works, we know that the shared/common fuse, relay and switch are all OK. I'd suspect an open in the left stop lamp power supply branch and would recommending checking for voltage on the green & black wire at the left rear combination lamp assembly to confirm. Regarding the left lamp on the hatch, the wiring diagram indicates these are not stop lamps rather tail lamps only. I'd recommend installing a tail lamp bulb instead of a brake light bulb into that assembly as a first step. The tail light fuse in a 2012 Ford Fusion can be found in the fuse panel that is in the cabin on the driver's side under the steering wheel. The fuse should be number 22 but always check with the cover that is over the panel to confirm. If Your tail lights are out on Your Fusion the first thing You should check are the bulbs. These burn out regularly and are a consumable part. If they are okay then the next thing to check are the fuses. If the fuse is blown go ahead and replace it and make sure the lights work. If You are popping fuses regularly to Your tail lights then there is likely a short in the wiring to them.

There is a tail lights fuse for the truck, but not for the trailer.
First, check that your left tail light on the truck is working, if not fix the problem (new bulb, bad contact, fuse).
Then the obvious suggestions regarding the trailer are: Check the tail light portion of the bulb to be sure it is not blown. If good (best to put in new one to be sure), then check the wiring from the front of the trailer all of the way to the non working bulb, including every connection and at any place it is secured to the trailer frame. If all is good with the trailer circuit and bulb, then check the truck's trailer connector, including any adapters. If by chance the truck is wired with a flat 4 wire harness the problem may be solved (but usually the blinkers are the problem). Modern trucks require a 5 wire harness which self adapts to the standard 4 wire trailer circuit. Check for dc power (12 volts) from the truck's female connector. One wire will be ground, others will be taillights (turn on headlights), brake lights (have someone press brake pedal), and blinkers (turn on switch and blinkers).

I would guess that you need a new bulb. Many of these tail lights actually have two filaments inside them, one that is used for a dimmer light (running light) and one that is used for a brighter light like (brake light, turn signal). The easiest thing to try (and probably the cheapest) would be to buy a replacement bulb and change it. Most places that sell automotive light bulbs will have a large catalog where you look up the make model and year of the car you need a light for and it will tell you which replacement bulb you will need. Then look in your cars manual to see how you access and replace the bulb.
