Water on the drivers floor.

I have noticed water on the floor when the car sits in the rain. I have a floor mat under my feet and their is no water on it so it must not be dripping from the middle 3/4 of the area.

Does your car have a sun (or moon) roof? A leak in a sunroof will sometimes follow the roof over to the door post and down to the floor were the water will accumulate. This can be hard to find sometimes but having one person spraying water on the roof while a second one checks the inside of the vehicle you may be able to pinpoint the leak.
Hope this helps.

I will check. Will the water be visible inside the car on the door post or inside the plastic liner?

2009 Mazda 3 found water puddled under floor mat on drivers side, where is it coming from?

Could be condensation from the air conditioner. This normally drains out a tube near the glove box, onto the ground. If this drain tube comes off or is clogged, the water will drain into the interior of the car instead.
Could also be a leak around the windshield, door, or sunroof.
When do you notice it most? Warm humid days, or after a rain or car wash?

Water accumulates only on the front and rear driver side floor boards and "only" after it rains. I was told it might be a plugged drain. How can you tell if its a plugged rain drain and not a poorly sealed...

take a star screw driver and punch a pair of holes in your floor on drivers side make sure once you go through push the screw driver towards the front of the car and creat angled pockets
these will be your new drains being so small they will bnot tako on water or they will take on a min of water and they will drain the floors

it''s the easiest way to fix the problem go right through the carpet it's just thet easy use a good pointy screw driver or a center punch but dont make the hole larger then 1/4 inch
a mechanic will carge you 250 to fix original drains and will likely do the same as i said a couple of wacks near the lower center on the floor boards
so get in place feet on floor slide them back against the seat with it all the way back now place pointy object between feet and wach it with a hammer
once through push pointy objest forward to create new drain

2006 Chevy Colorado - I got a significant of water in cab on flr

This happened to me. Problem is that the wiring and transercase ECM under the floor mats are not weather sealed. To fix the 4X4 ECM youll need to take up all the flooring and sound proffing. They hold a lot of water and never real dry out. Next to replace the ECM its easyest to take out the drivers seat. Four blots hold it to the floor. The black box under the seat (under the floor mates) is the ECM for the transfer case. Replace that and get the conections in the wireing dry and you should be good.

Water leaks into my BMW 325i

Check your outer door window seals. If they are worn water will leak through the door to the floor.

Wet passenger side

I believe the problem is a leak in your heater core. The water would run down the inside of the firewall or near it thus running under the mat.
