My 94 chev truck will not turn over

Can you turn the engine by hand with a socket on the crankshaft bolt?

Do you have electrical knowledge and tools to follow a wiring diagram and test a circuit?

I believe a 94 astro has a cpi system this is a central injector with 6 tubes with poppet valves this located inside of the intake manifold,the top half of the plenum comes off and then the central injectoris inside,make sure your fuel pressure is up to spec also

Hey can someone help me? I've got a 94 buick park avenue and i just put a new battery in and its trying to start but won't turn over.My lights are on.But i'm not sure the name of this piece that looks cracked.Its sits in the front and looks like its barrel shaped.

Start with a cheaper solution, try cleaning up as many grounds on the vehicle that you can find, good possibility that your problem is just a bad ground somewhere. Check condition of ground strap that goes from the engine to the frame of the car, on my 94 cav it is bolted to a stud at the engine to transmission mount bolts and goes to the frame.

it sounds like your ignition switch could be bad, it is mounted on the steering column under the dash, it is the actual switch that activates the ignition and starter when you turn your key. if it is going bad it will give the same symptoms that you have described.

is the purple wire at the starter getting a 12 volt signal with the key held in the crank position? is the engine ground cable cklean and tight? are the starter cables ok?

try cleaning your battery cables,sometimes you will have enough connection to run lights etc. but not enough to run the starter.

engine idle and then check strobe light to mark on crank ,then slowly rev engine to check advance ,it should move

thats a common placc for them to rust out you will need 10 feet of 1/4 in. brake line that will go front to back
