My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website www.reliable-store.com that i used to get manuals from, and they have all models online.
I also brought for my 1989 BMW, such old model, they had it and it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.
There is an article on eBay by a1benz about this. He claims the factory fitted Navigation system can not work in the UK or Europe and he fits replacement systems. He says that CD player will only play DVD's if they are navigation discs and will not play DVD movie discs (Is this due to the Region settings on the player perhaps?) It is also worth noting that the TV system is NTSC not PAL so anything you try and plug into it will need to have the output set to NTSC! I have found a supplier offering English Navigation Discs for v6 and v7 of the Nissan XANAVI system but unfortunately I don't know what Elgrand system version is.
