Or better yet how I change the "heated oxygen sensor bank 1 & 2,code # are p0141,p0134,p0135,if anyone could help me that would be much APPRECIATED....thank you
Ok, I do beleive that both the pre- cat sensors are heated, they have to be because the fuel system operates off of the input from the other sensors until the 02 sensor heats up to about 600 degrees. Buy a can of penetrating fluid, use the raunchy stuff not the green if you want it to work, spray the sensor where it screws into the pipe wait about 15 minutes, disconect the wiring harness and then simply unscrew it with an adjustable wrench or a special socket which you can rent from your local auto parts store, replacement of new one is reverse of removal and bam your done. I just looked up these codes and I suggest changing both the pre- cat and post- cat sensors, each one is the same process, and remember to specify pre and post when buying,.
Follow the exhaust pipe down from the manifold to the converter, it will have a cable attached to the sender and will be screwed into the exhaust pipe.
SOURCE: P0134 Error Code
The code refers to an oxygen sensor that is no longer detecting changes in fuel delivery by way of sensing exhaust oxygen content. Bank 1, sensor 1, tells you which sensor is bad, in this case, it's the sensor that is mounted before the catalytic converter, on the rear bank of cylinders as you look into the engine compartment. It would really be a good idea to change both pre-cat O2 sensors at this point as they are both twelve years old.

A code P0135 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
= O2 Heater element resistance is high
= Internal short or open in the heater element
= O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
= open or short to ground in the wire harness.
What to do;
= Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors.
= Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)
A code P0141 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Same as above: mentioned in P0135.
What do do is the same as above, so i am leaning towards and faulty wire harness since you have replaced both O2 sensors. Make sure the wire harness has no break in it or crushed connection clips. The other thing to look for is a bad fuse that is used to heat up the O2 sensor. It may not say O2 sensor on it, it may piggy back off something else so check all the fuse and make sure the O2 has a good ground and not corroded. Good luck and hope this helps.

Hello dillonca: My name is Roger and I will help you. There should be two sensors. One in the exhaust manifold back by the firewall. This is sensor 1 bank one. The other is behind the catalytic converter. This is bank one sensor 2.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rare your answer. This way I know the answer was helpful. Tank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

SOURCE: Engine light came on - yellow. Code: P0134 02
there is either a problem with the wiring going to the front oxygen sensor, or with the oxygen sensor itself. good luck!
