Most cars/trucks that give you a light on the dash have a sensor in the washer bottle tank. One is a ground and one goes to the brain, make sure there are no breaks. If the wires look alright it could be the sensor. Check the owners manual on resetting also. Good Luck

There is a sensor in the washer fluid bottle . like a float ,when rises to the top it turns off the light. It mite be stuck or bad.

How do I reset the windshield washer low light on the dash of my 2012 Chrysler 300?

The light will go out when the washer fluid tank is filled, if it is full then the level sensor is defective and you need to install a new one, it is located in the washer fluid tank.

You have a lvl sensor located in the bottom of your washer bottle, you will either need to repair or change your sensor, or unplug the sensor to keep an open circuit.

what kind of car do you have ,?and year make model,motor size, is very importaint, some cars like chevy 02 you have to turn key on and pump brake 3 times and that clears washer fluid light, so now you know why we need other info. Woody

How do I replace the windshield washer low fluid sensor. The low windshield washer fluid light is on and will not go off even though the washer fluid tank is full.

That sensor can be replaced. It's located on the washer fluid bottle which is found behind the front bumper and next to the passenger's fender.

Wiper fluid level sensor replacement

Reservoir —Windshield Wiper

Removal

Remove the RH wheel; refer to Section 204-04 .

Position RH splash shield aside.
1. Remove six screws.
1. Remove three pin-type retainers.
1. Position RH splash shield aside.

NOTE: Windshield washer fluid should be collected in a container after the windshield washer hoses are disconnected.
Disconnect the electrical connector and washer hoses.

Remove the upper reservoir bolt.

Remove the windshield washer reservoir.
- Loosen the two lower reservoir bolts.
