My 2000 Toyota Sienna's driver's side door lock sometimes get stuck. It also, on occasions will not lock or unlock with the remote. Any suggestions?
The lock actuator is binding/hanging up, replace it and lube the linkages this should cure that problem....hope this helps...let me know...GL
I recently replaced the left inside door handle and bezel and noticed that the cheaper handle/lock assembly I purchased over the internet would bind the orange locking switch when I installed with the bezel. I removed the bezel by prying off the locking tabs with a straight stiff exacto knife and the lock worked fine with actuator. I am ordering the higher priced Toyota OEM handle and expect it to work. When linkage or lock bind, the actuator stops pulsing normally from a built-in overload protection. This is the same failure with regard to window track friction that causes windows to stock functioning. Silicon lubricant will help with both problems and may avoid a motor replacement.
