Flushed heater core,checked and replaced thermostat,refilled coolant,still no heat from vents.hoses in and out of core are cold.also upper rad.hose hot,but lower hose is cool.also the by-pass hose is hot.
Some cars have a vacuum or electic control valve in the heater hose that controlled water flow to the heater core . If it's vacuum controlled be sure that the vacuum line has not come off or has a vacuum leak . If it's electric controlled Chevy contacts . Hope this helps with the problem
Replace the thermostat. When the engine is hot. There isn't a hose on it that you can hold for more than a couple seconds. 200+ degrees.
