I'm not a certified GM tech but from recollection there should be a fuse box under the hood with said flasher.

SOURCE: I have a 2005 Pontiac G6 that the hazard flashers don't work.

I'm not sure but alot of other gm models have the flasher built into the hazard switch. Gm has a real problem with this style of switch/flasher. I've replaced lots of them, but I'm not sure if it is the same design and Impala, Montecarlo, and malibu, but I bet it is.

SOURCE: i needed to put my emergency flashers on when if

Looking at the steering column in front of the steering wheel look at about the 5 o'clock position. Push in on the center of the switch to turn them on and pull out on the ring around the outside of the switch to turn them off.

Where is the emergency flasher located on a 1997 Pontiac grand am

You mean the button to make it turn on? Should be on steering column. Your mean the flasher itself? In the fuse block. Should be two, one for the turn flasher, one for emergency.

Where is the Turn Signal switch housing located in the 1997 Pontiac Grand Am GT? The fuse is fine but is there a signal switch?

It s up under the dashboard above the ash tray but under the radio . You can turn on the emergancy flasher and listen for the click that is in the same place as the turn signal unit . And you shouldn't have to take anything apart to get to it

Sometimes it sounds like my turn signal is on but it is not

The late model Grand Ams and Malabu's had trouble with the emergency flasher. It is the flasher button on the dash. GM Incorporated the flasher for the directionals into th emergency switch. Try replacing that switch. In the last 10 years I have only seen one that was not that switch.

Hope that helps.

Sounds like the flasher unit to me. Normally the emergency flasher and turn signal are separate.

I'm looking for the turn signal flasher unit on a 1993 Buick LeSabre. I found the 4-way flasher which is clipped onto a support by the steering column but can't find the turn signal flasher. I bought a new...

The turn signal flasher is above the emergency brake petal and about 6 inches above, hid by a wiring harness. It is in a clip so pull it out and leave the wire hang to replace the new flasher. If you locate the fuse box drop it down by releasing the two metal clips left and right , the flasher will be directly above the left side of the panel.

Turn signals and emergency flashers won't work

you need to replace the flasher relay... it's often located in the fuse panel under the dash.... it's generally larger then the other relays.... and it may possibly be blue.

Location of turn signal flasher for 1997 Buick skylark

the flasher is behind the dash where the steering column goes. It's hard to get at and harder to remove. They just can't make these things easy, can they?
