Back up lights are normally controlled by a switch at the bottom of the steering column (column shift automatic trans) or in the console (console shifted automatics) or switch screwed into the side of the transmission (stick shift cars) If all fuses are good and bulbs are good, find location of switch and test for current to it and through it when in reverse.

Fuse blows when put in reverse

Possibly an internal failure of the reverse switch. The blown fuse is for both the reverse and the turn signal lights. The fix is replacement of the reverse switch.

Reverse light wire under the dash

The reverse light wire will not be under the dash, there will be a constant live feed from the fuse to the reverse light switch on the gearbox, that is no good for you. You need to take a power after the switch, that's live when reverse is selected. You may be able to pick this wire up from the loom, loom runs down the left hand side of the vehicle. Look at the wire colour to the reverse light at the rear and trace in the loom. at the front kick panel

Reverse light doesn't light up every

The travel in the switch has probably increased in the time you have had the car. The switch- or shifting linkage directly related to the reverse light switch- may have some adjustment left. If not probably a new switch would fix it.

My reverse light stays on

It seems the reverse light switch which is fitted on the gear box has sized to 'on' position, the remedy is to replace the switch.
To male sure its the switch, locate it and remove the connection to the switch thn check it out if the reverse light stays 'on' whn you turn the igntion 'on'.
