On what you ahve to be more specific , any good fuse should work but to be safe use a 15 amp that is the standard size for just about anything but look on youtube you may get better help there , good luck

First off check the fuse, if you don't know which one check them all. There are also fuses under the hood.

Rear defrost not working on 2004 Impala

Most GM cars and trucks use the fuse panel for safety with the rear defroster...Check your owners manual for the location of the fuse block...I think it is inside your glove box...Try the fuse first...if not the fuse...your options include replacing the glass inserted strips...(do not remove) with a rear shelf defroster blower motor... or an add on rear window defroster...Your auto parts stores should have both...Hope this helps.

2006 chevy impala rear window heater does not work

check the fuses the fuse for this can be found in your owners manual. if the fuse is good and the lite for the rear defrost lites up the rear heater strips on your rear window may be bad the only repair for that would be having the rear window replaced

Rear window defroster stopped

You firstly need to check if the fuse has blown. The heated rear window has its own dedicated fuse.
Your owner's manual has the location of the fuse box in the vehicle and the fuse diagram so you can identify the correct fuse to remove and check.

If the fuse is blown replace it but you must use the correct amp fuse.

I have a 2001 Park Avenue and the Rear Defroster doesn't work anymore, how can I fix it?

First i would check the fuses you have two fuse boxes one on the inside located by the left foot of the driver or the passengers right foot, and the 2nd is located under the hood i dont think it will be under the hood. Check with your owners manual for what fuses do what. if the fuses check out. i would move to the rear of the glass. you will have 2 plugs on either side of the glass you can test these with a voltage meter or a 12volt test light one side is a ground and one side is power what may have happen is on of the defroster strips has worn off and its not completing the circuit. Auto parts store sale a special kind of conducting paste that you can apply right to the glass and complete your circuit. If you think everything is good at the back glass, or you think the problem is not there.
Also there should be a relay maybe under the hood that is more like a timer for this feature there could be a problem there relays aren't very expensive. Good luck

Defrost Problems the window freezes up from the outter edges In..

The rear window defrost could be a fuse or relay, if you have the owners manual that will show you which fuse or relay it is.
Is the engine temperature getting up to normal? Where do you have the heater controls set, are you pulling fresh air in from outside, or are you recycling the air inside the car? You have to pull in outside air, or the windows will continue to fog up. That car has a "Cabin Filter" which fiters the air coming into the heater system from outside. Have you ever changed that? It's usually located under the panel by the right windshield wiper. Check the owners manual that should tell you about it. No owners manual go to? car-parts.com, That will give a list on the salvage yards in you area that have a used manual.

Rear defrost doesn't work, is there a fuse somewhere? I don't have an owners manual, fuse box doesn't show one

I had the same problem with my car, but mine was easily fixed. My hockey stick was in my back seat and I guess it accidently knocked off the connecter located on the rear window. Look around your back window for a small connector and make sure it is in properly, think of plugging a plug into an extension cord, that kind of how it connect otgether.

hope this helps.
