Wwhat does it mean..immobilzer appeared in xc90 Volvo 2004

The immobliser battery (re-chargable Li-Ion) has begun to leak onto the immobilser board causing a short and inoperation of the immobilser function. It's located in the right wheel well behind the plastic liner. You can replace the battery yourself with a 3.6V 210mA phone battery number 303. Some soldering is required to replace the battery. Otherwise visit dealer to replace the immobilser board probably worth hundreds of dollars.

Hi my immobilser/fob is not working leaving me unable to start my truck, any ideas on how to start it bypassing the immobilser???

Unfortunately there is no way to bypass the immobilizer feature, the key you are using is probably not matched to the system, if all keys are lost you should contact the Toyota dealer there is a way to program your existing key or a new key to the system, doing this requires a diagnostic scantool.

the alarm control unit is fitted under the drivers seat can be accessed from the rear foot well by putting seat fully forward .unscrew the two nuts holding the cover the relays are inside the unit.

this unit interfaces will tell the fuel stop solenoid to release (by applying 12 volts)

the fuel stop solinoid is on the main diesel pump under the bonnet - the exac location on the pump will depend on the make - but it should be cylindrical and have one wire connected to it - (i dont think peugeot were using multi wired coded soleniods in 93)

obivously if your car has the keypad immobilser you will know where this is - if it is the remote alarm immobilser the reciever is in the over head consol near the interior front light
