Can't open bonnet on Ford Focus mk1 2001 any suggestions?

I just removed my front grill yep had to break it off, but easyly and neatly and use black tie wraps from b & q to put it back its just a cover nothing more folks use double tie put together to lenghen to your needs, on your bumpers at the either side near head lights there are plastic clips thread them through there and then place grill back through, a bit fiddly but it can be done, use pin nose pliers or tweezers to pull tie wraps back through and tie off.

Now the lock, mine was a swine, i gave it thought and thought and after really cutting me knuckles. found that where the housing is around the lock, the housing at the sides going to the back are plastic u just drilled these away to hole big enough to allow me to get a 10 ring spanner in and enough room ie cut more away if needed to undo the 2 bolts holding the lock in place, this way is easier and quicker by miles. i did the same on the other side i checked before doing any of this, and it does not matter as there is a black plastic cover over the latch you will this once open, that covers it all up. and you can,t see anyting once you put the grill back, try it i have some pics i will put on here so check mmm out, i tried for ages and i did it this way, you don,t have to its just a way to do it, it worked for me and i did my mates as well, and you can,t even tell.

Front wheels won't turn

That is a tough one, with out seeing it it sounds as if the front differential is locked up. You might want to pull the inspection cover and give a look.

Hello Bruce...here are the steps to follow per All Data.

Release hood latch and open hood.
Remove the headlamp assemblies.
Hoist vehicle and support with safety stands.
Remove the five push pin fasteners attaching bottom of fascia/air dam to radiator closure panel.
Remove front wheels.
Remove front wheelhouse splash shields fasteners as necessary to gain access to bolts attaching front fascia to fender.
Remove the two bolts and two nuts attaching fascia to the front fenders (Fig. 1) and (Fig. 2).
Disconnect fog lamp wire connectors, if necessary.
Lower vehicle.
Remove two bolts attaching the upper grille support to the headlamp mounting panel at each side of the grille.
Remove bumper fascia from vehicle.
INSTALLATION

Position front bumper fascia on vehicle (Fig. 1) and (Fig. 2).
Install the two bolts attaching fascia to headlamp mounting panel at each side of grille.
Hoist vehicle and support with safety stands.
Install the two bolts and two nuts attaching fascia to the front fenders. The fascia should be flush to fender.
Install front wheelhouse splash shields fasteners.
Install front wheels.
Connect fog lamp wire connectors, if necessary.
Install the five push pin fasteners attaching bottom of fascia to radiator closure panel.
Lower the vehicle.
Install the headlamp assemblies.

The "push pin fasteners" are the pain you are having i believe. They push in, but to get them out you need squeeze them on the back & pull at the same time. If you happen to break a few, you can buy them in various sizes at the auto parts store. I hope this information is helpful, an owners manual will not have any info like this in it.

How to get ur 4wheel drive back to 2 wheel drive 1994 s10 truck

Under the Battery there is a vacum motor with a cable on it. This cable is stuck or bent as default is the car is in two wheel drive. at the other end of the cable is connected to the front axel. Notmally there is a spring that pulls the cable towards two wheel driove and the cable pulls towards 4 wheel drive, if the spring were to break or get gone once engaged in four wheel it'll stay that way. Normally there is a plastic cover on the axel where the cable enters the cover and this spring in under this cover. It's possible and likly that if used in deep mud and water that this cover will fill completly with mud and dirt and it will need to be cleaned out to work smoothly. if left dirty for a long time the sping and the sliding parts can lock up and it will not engade or disengage. After driving in dep mud and water it's best to clean this area oput and with no disassembly you can wash this place with a high pressure car wash wand and clear all the mud out but if it rusted you'll have to take it apart and clean it and relube it. If you want to run the truck in deep mud regully you need to do this yourself as paying someone else to do it could be expensive. If your not handy with tools and the way things work it'll be best to have a professional do it with you watching. This truck if run in and out of four wheel to run in the mud regularly will do this over and over again and knowing how to do it right, and which tools work best and how hard to hit the stuck parts with a hammer are all best learned from a pro and don't try to teach your self. If your just going to run around all the time in 2 wheel drive just pay to have it done and if you don't put it in four wheel it won't go there unless you turn it on.

Replace ignition switch

REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVERING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL. YOU PROBABLY WON'T HAVE TO REMOVE THE WHEEL. THERE SHOULD BE SCREWS ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE PLASTIC PIECES . THE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER IN PLACE MAY HAVE SECURITY HEADS, [ROUND , NO SLOTS OR HEXES] YOU WILL NEED A SMALL CHISEL & A SMALL HAMMER TO START THEM TURNING.

IF YOU ONLY WANT TO REPLACE THE ELECTRICAL PART, " THE BLACK PLASTIC WITH THE WIRES " ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REMOVE THE SINGLE SCREW FROM THE OPPOSITE END WHERE THE KEYS GO & PULL OUT THE PLASTIC SWITCH.

I beleive this model has standard pop off hubcap. Also the same for aftermarket hubcaps for this vehicle.

Won,t shift transfer case into 4wheel drive

Is the truck on the fly 4X4 push button or is there a lever on the floor you pull into 4 wheel drive? Located on the back of the transfer case not hard to change few bolts and a wire harness. Does the front drive shaft turn when you put it in 4x4 and the front wheels won't ingage? If so then its not your transfer case its the actulator on the front axle at the gear hub or pumpkin it will have two 10mm bolts and a black plastic cover if so remove cover and spray actulator shaft with wd-40.
