Air conditioning stopped working step for trouble

There are several ideas on test gauges for A/C pressure. You need to find out if you have any Freon pressure in your system. Low pressure will activate a cut-off switch to protect the compressor from seizing.

If you look at the passengers side of the Firewall, under the wiring bundle attached to the Firewall, the low pressure fitting is on the black oblong tank. The pressure cut-off switch is on a A/C line leaving this tank.

You can by-pass the cut-off switch with a wire loop to see if the compressor engages and what the running pressure is for the system. You can work with low pressure better than some other problems.

There are Freon cans with sealant and conditioner which can fix minor problems. Once you get enough pressure to deactivate the cut-off switch the Freon should be pulled into the system.

Have windows open, A/C on Max, and then use the gauge to keep from overfilling the system.

2010 mustang air conditioner blowing warm air and hesitating

Very strange.
Usually the ac compressor cuts off if the computer detects a major problem with the engine such as a power loss on more than one cylinder.
And if that happens the computer should store trouble codes for the issues.
Is the check engine light staying on ? Will the ac work if the engine idles ?

My 2004 trailblazer is trying to cut off when i turn on the air conditioner when i either stop or slow down.

Needs to have the throttle body and throttle plate cleaned. While cleaning is being done, disconnect battery for about 30 minutes, this will cause computer to relearn to the freshly cleaned throttle body.

The air conditioner keeps cutting off while I am running it. What does this mean.

Like I was just saying,I got to wondering, when I fix the oil separator leak, and in turn fixes the erratic idle, won't that stop the problem with the a/c cutting out ? Our '97 Escort is doing the same thing...

Air conditioner

I have a 2001 ford expedition. the a/c compressor cuts off and back on about every 30 seconds or so. When its on the air gets cold when it cuts back off the air starts warming up. Is this an indication that the freon is getting low?

Ba falcon heater

Just had the same thing happen to my BA. No hot air. I'm a bit of a handyman so I had a go myself. 8 Hours is a reasonable estimate. You have to remove the steering column and entire dashboard to get the bugger out. Not a job I would attempt again.
