Check the wires on the driver's door between the door and the post. A break in a wire will affect the passenger side.

Passenger side power window does not work

We had this problem and just actually fixed it today. Had tried a passenger side door switch but that didn't help. We ended up buying and replacing the drivers side door switch and that solved the problem of our passenger side window not going up or down. The driver side switch is a one piece unit available from the dealer and it controls both driver and passenger side windows.

Power window (drivers side) quit working on my 2000 Pontiac Montana. Can't be a fuse issue as the passenger side still works. Any ideas on a fix?

More than likely just a faulty switch. Sometimes you can take them apart and clean them. Or, just go to an auto wrecker and get another one.

2002 pontiac montana passanger pwr window

I beleive you need to change the Power Window Switches Module in the drivers side door panel, as these connections are interlinked within this module and it is usually the first part that fails. Especially that you already changed the switches & motor in the passenger door and it still does not work. Once you remove the dual switch module in the driver's side door, you will understand what I mean. Plus it is really easy to access. Good luck! I have the same model, Claude

Power window on driver side does not open either side of windows.. do I need a main switch on driver side. or do I need both switches for both windows

First: Does the passenger side switch open the window. If so it is probably the master switch on the drivers door. On most of those the driver side is a master switch meaning one unit with 4 switches. Its very easy and cheap if you can find one at a junk yard just swap it out. You should be able to pry out the switch from the door panel and then click out the switch and plug in the new one.

1999 Pontiac Montana passenger sliding door stopped working.

Verify the wiring harness which passes under plastic step & carpet at front passenger side. This wiring harness goes from the firewall to the pillar on the right side and some have crimped connectors in them to act as junction between two or more wires (ususlly the 12volt feed), which deteriorate with time, especially with Salt & Water. Then the electric sliding door stops working and even driver the electric seat can loose power.
