Need to disconnect the feed wire back one connection block from plugin, you should be able to find its wires running up from under dash end of consul. or you can pull all the screws and remove the consul. to get at the wires to follow them back to the first connector.

COIL ON DISTRIBUTOR MAY BE SHORTED...

USE A 12 VOLT TESTER TO CHECK...PLACE RED WIRE FROM TESTER TO BATTERY...PLACE BLACK LEAD TO BLACK WIRE OF DISTRIBUTOR, CRANK ENGINE, IT SHOULD READ POSITIVE 12 VOLTS...IF NOT IT IS SHORTED... however this is not set in stone. DON'T USE A NINE VOLT TESTER...

USE A OHMMETER, CHECK THE RESISTANCE BETWEEN THE SIDE TERMINALS OF THE COIL, DISCONNECTED. YOU SHOULD SEE 0.75 TO 0.81 RESISTANCE. THEN CHECK THE RESISTANCE BETWEEN EITHER SIDE TERMINAL AND THE CENTER HIGH TENSION TERMINAL. THE READING SHOULD BE 10,000 TO 11,000 OHMS. ANY SIGNIFICANT DEVIATION FROM THESE NUMBERS WOULD INDICATE THE COIL COULD BE DEFECTIVE.

2004 2.4 hyundia Santa fe won't start 0335 coded came up so I changed crankshaft sensor still won't start

Hi, I recommend you check the crank sensor connector for good pins and voltages. With the key on, you should get 12 volts across terminals 1 and 3 of the connector. If that's good, check the continuity of the center wire to the PCM, pin 5. The PCM is under the dash in the center under the control panel. You can do this without disconnecting the PCM--just back-probe the connector at pin 5 with an ohmmeter that is also connected to the center terminal of the sensor connector (you'll need a long wire to extend the ohmmeter from the engine to the cabin). Repair any wiring as necessary to achieve these specs, and let me know if you have any questions.

How do i replace the 12 volt power outlet in my 2005 f150

Both start with removing the center trim panel.

To do this open the ash tray / cup holder ( flow through console / column shifter ) and pull on the lower corners. The center trim panel is held on with 6 or 8 spring clips. They are hard to pull out the 1st time, it takes a bit of pulling.

Be careful while pulling on the center trim panel, the HVAC panel is attached to it ( the cables are somewhat long ) and the Passenger airbag light ( at the top ) has a short harness.
With the center panel off :
Center Power point - remove the wire, and the plastic trim ring on the back needs to be removed, and the power point is pulled through the front.
The dash power point, the tabs can be released by reaching in the center opening, and pull it through the dash, then release the wiring connector.

How do u get the wood part around the cd player off in a 2000 diamante

1. Put on the emergency brake and put the transmission in neutral (key must be on, brake must be pressed). Having the shift lever in neutral allows the console to clear it.

2. Remove the front cupholder by pulling it up and out. Set it aside in safe place so you won’t accidentally scratch or break it while continuing your job.

3. Clean out the coin compartment and leave the door open.

4. The console trim pieces are held in place with metal clips. Reach through the opening at the rear of the coin compartment and pull up on the lower console trim until it unsnaps. Continue to unsnap the lower console trim, rear to front. It hooks into the ashtray, so don't try to pull it up from there. Once you have unsnapped the trim from the console, it will pull back and out from the ashtray. Lift the lower console trim up and disconnect any wiring connectors, then remove it up and over the shift lever. Set it aside in a safe place.

5. Put the car back into park for now (key on, press brake, shift, then remove the key).

6. Reach under the bottom of the whole ashtray unit (not just the ashtray) and pull it back towards the rear of the car until it unsnaps, but don’t completely remove it yet. Remove the wiring connector from the ashtray and set the ashtray aside in a safe place.

7. Next, you are going to remove the center vent unit just above the AC controls. If your model has a thumbwheel on the left side of the vent unit, you must first unhook the cable. Use a light to look under the dash from the driver's side, find the end of the cable, unclip it and unhook it from the peg. If you have a problem identifying the cable, move the thumbwheel up and down while looking under the dash and you can see the cable end moving. Remember how it was installed so you can reconnect it later.

8. Now comes the hard part. Work your fingers into the area of the center vents just below the digital clock lens. Unsnap the vent unit by pulling it out towards the rear of the car. It may take some pulling, so be careful. Once the center vent unit unsnaps, remove it from the dash and set it aside in a safe place.

9. You now can see the upper and lower mounting screws for the center unit. Remove the screws, being careful not to drop the screws inside of the dash.

10. Carefully pull the center unit out a bit from the dash. You will have to disconnect all the wiring and a tube before you fully remove it.

11. Disconnect the wiring from emergency flasher, and pull the AC temperature sensor breather tube off.

12. Disconnect all the connectors from the AC unit and the radio. Use a flat blade screwdriver to press the tab on those connectors with one. The screwdriver will also help you pry those connectors out of their sockets. Remember how everything was connected so you can put it back later.

13. Once you have the connectors disconnected the center console unit can be removed from the dash. Set the unit face down on a soft surface and remove the screws that hold the trim in place. The radio is mounted by screws that go into each side.

14. Reassembly is the reverse of the above steps. Be careful to not overtighten any of the screws, or they may strip out their mounting holes.

I have a standard flat blade seven pin trailer receptical that I believe is factory wired. everything works fine with the exception of pin #4, which is supposed to be the 12 volt constant or battery...

In your fuse box there should be 2 marked post 1 and post 2. The posts are located under the cover just behind the fuse box. Usually one post is used for trailer brake power and the other for 12 volt trailer power. Some of these are left disconnected from the factory. You might have to remove the fusebox cover to get to them. Also try http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx. They have a great website with lots of info.
