Question about Holden Cars & Trucks
I am attempting to locate the oil filter for the captiva. I understand this is a cartridge type filter and believe it is under the engine cover. The engine cover is held on by four upside down bolts. Has anyone any idea how I remove this?
Not sure if you have answer to your oil filter. Diesel looking from front of vehicle left corner rear of engine , cover removed. 27 mm socket required . care taken awkward to remove oil will spill grab it with a piece of rag moving it down and under filter as it is removed. advise to suck out oil from lower filter body before refitting filter or oil will rise as filter is fitted and will spill over . Please also be aware which groove you remove the old oil ring from so as to fit a new o ring into the correct groove.
